The Cemre sweater is definitely our winter bestseller. Its length makes it perfect for wearing as a knitted dress . The generous collar and in-seam pockets in the front dividing seams complement this cozy and casual winter piece.
Length in the back center = 89 – 97cm
In this tutorial, Cemre was sewn from a pullover sweat fabric and fleece for the collar.
Required materials:
We recommend a firmer, thick jersey or wool , complemented with a coarse rib knit for the collar and sleeves, or as in our version just for the collar.

Cutting:

Cut out the pattern pieces from your outer fabrics. Lay the fabric right side up. Place the selvedges parallel to the center so you can place the front, back, yoke, and collar on the fold. The pattern pieces should all be laid with the writing facing up. Always align the grain arrow on all pieces in the same direction and parallel to the selvedge of the fabric. Transfer all notches from the pattern by making a 3mm snip with scissors or chalk and mark the ends of the darts. Notch the seam allowance on the fold, as this is always the center. Marks define the positions of dart ends, pocket positions, and much more. Transfer these either with chalk or pins.

You will need fabric:

Sewing instructions:
Seam allowances are included - 1cm wide or as per marking clips!
To sew this sweater you will need a sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, or alternatively the zigzag stitch on your sewing machine to neaten the cut edges.
In addition to the description, the colored lines in the pictures show you where a seam needs to be sewn or something needs to be glued.
When sewing, pay attention to the seam allowance included in the pattern. Seam allowances not specifically marked are 1cm wide!
Have fun sewing!
Then you can neaten the raw edges of the dividing seam individually on the front and side pieces. Also neaten the seam allowance of the opening edge of the pocket pouches (4x). Work in the opposite direction to the opposite side of the body.

Now let's move on to the pockets in the front dividing seam. The pocket pouches are sewn edge to edge to the front and side pieces with a 1cm seam allowance. Make sure the fabric is right side to right side so the correct side of the fabric is visible in the pocket pouch. Iron the seam allowances open.
Now you can sew the dividing seam from the top up to the markings and close the pocket bag at the same time. Make sure you iron the seam allowance open.
The entire seam allowance is now ironed towards the front center so that the pocket opening works smoothly.
Sew the complete front piece, right sides together, to the front yoke, neaten the seam allowances together and press them upwards.
Now you can tackle the two back pieces: neaten the back centers individually and then sew them together, right sides together. Iron the seam allowances open.
Bring the prepared back piece together with the back yoke, neaten the seam allowances together and iron them down.
To join the front and back pieces together, sew the shoulder seams together, right sides together, neaten the seam allowances, and press them back. Do the same with the side seams.
Then sew the underarm seam together and neaten the seam allowances. Press the seam allowance to the back.
Now sew the sleeve, right sides together, to the body. Pay attention to the notches and use the V-notch to determine which side each sleeve belongs to. Neaten the sleeve seam allowances together.
Neaten the hems of the torso and sleeves, fold them over at the notch and topstitch them.
For the collar, the center back is sewn together, right sides together. The seam allowances are ironed open, and the collar is folded at the notches, wrong sides together.
Now sew the prepared collar, right sides together, to the neckline in the body. Make sure the collar seam is aligned with the center back of the sweater. Neaten the seam allowances together.
